Former Rangers boss Ally McCoist has urged Chelsea to bring Tammy Abraham back to the club, just one year after the English striker departed Stamford Bridge for Roma.
Abraham joined Roma last season, and proved to an immediate success in Serie A, netting 27 goals in all competitions as Jose Mourinho's side won the UEFA Europa Conference League in his first season in charge.
In an interview with TalkSPORT, McCoist urged Chelsea to bring Abraham back to Stamford Bridge as a replacement for the departing Timo Werner.
The possibility of Abraham eventually returning to the club he made his debut for does seem to be something factored in to the deal to allow him to leave for Serie A.
A clause in Abraham's contract at Roma means that Chelsea can re-sign the forward for a fee of £68million, but only after the 24-year-old has completed two seasons at the Stadio Olimpico.
However, after being frozen out of Tuchel's plans at the Blues before leaving for pastures new, Abraham may have serious reservations about rejoining his former club.
